March 2010 Monthly Look Ahead Schedule

Traffic Management
S.R. 82 westbound travel lanes will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes from east of Park 82 Drive west to Ortiz Avenue.

Motorists Will Use Temporary Northbound On-Ramp from S.R. 82 to I-75 Sunday night/overnight

Fort Myers, FL – From 8 p.m. Sunday (March 14) to 6. a.m. Monday (March 15), motorists westbound on S.R. 82 will use a temporary on-ramp west of the traffic signal and existing on-ramp to access northbound I-75. Crews will be installing utilities under the existing ramp as part of the City of Fort Myers’ S.R. 82 Widening Project. Motorists are advised to USE CAUTION driving in this area.

Survey
Installation of project white station boards along the right-of-way.
Locate existing utilities and stakeout future utility lines on the north side of S.R. 82.

Clearing & Grubbing
Clearing and grubbing is nearly complete. On-going burning of vegetation in Pond 2.

Right-of-Way
Installation of silt fence as required along the north side of S.R. 82.

Utilities
Force Main
Installing 24" force main from Teter Road to west of Lightard Knott Lane.
Installing 24” force main from Teter Road west to Ortiz Avenue.
         Directional drill under Interstate 75
         Jack & bores under Interstate 75 ramps for 24" force main installation
Water Main
Begin installing 20" water main from Forum Blvd. to west of Lightard Knott Lane.
